📣 You may be aware that the highly anticipated

📣 You may be aware that the highly anticipated Autumn budget was announced yesterday and although there is always speculation surrounding changes to Stamp Duty - until the budget has taken place nothing is off the table ! 💸

Conveyancing Land was thrown into turmoil in respect of those clients purchasing Second Homes. 🏡

The announcement increased any Higher Rate Stamp Duty with effect from 31st October 2024.

As always we have to wait for the small print 🔍 but it further clarifies that if exchange of contracts took place by close of play yesterday then those clients would not be affected by the rate increase today.

We do await the Governments official guidance being updated correctly but the latest information is available using the link below :

Those purchasing residential property not attracting the higher rate will remain as they are until 31st March 2025- whereby Stamp Duty will then start to apply when you purchase a property that costs £125,000 or more 🗓️
